Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect when you use XpertRes, why we collect it, and the control you keep over your information.

1. Information we collect

We collect the information you give us directly and a small amount of technical data needed to run the service.

Account data: name, email address and password credentials.
CV content: the roles, education, skills and text you enter or import.
Billing data: plan, invoices and payment status (card details are handled by our payment processor, never stored by us).
Technical data: device type, browser, IP address and basic usage events.

2. How we use your information

To create your account and let you sign in securely.
To generate, store, format and export your CVs and cover letters.
To provide AI suggestions on the content you explicitly submit for rewriting.
To send transactional email such as verification, password resets and export notices.
To detect abuse, debug faults and improve the product.

3. Legal bases

We process your data to perform our contract with you (running the service), on the basis of legitimate interest (security, product improvement), and with your consent where required, for example non-essential cookies.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with processors who help us operate the service — hosting, email delivery, payment processing and AI text generation — under contracts that limit them to our instructions.

5. Retention

We keep your account and CV data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your CVs and personal data within 30 days, except records we must retain for tax or legal reasons.

6. Your rights

Access a copy of the data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate details from your account settings.
Export your CVs at any time in PDF or Word format.
Delete your account and associated data from the account page.
Object to or restrict certain processing, and lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and access to production systems is restricted to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
